National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. 307

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a government-sponsored public service program under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It aims to develop the personality and character of student volunteers through community service.

At Bharatheeya Vidya Nikethan College of Teacher Education (BVNCTE), Kallekkad, Palakkad, the NSS Unit No. 307 has been officially sanctioned under the University of Calicut. The unit was formally approved on November 11, 2022, contributing to the college’s commitment to holistic education and community engagement.

Objectives of NSS Unit 307:

 To create social awareness among student teachers.

 To encourage the spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility.

 To provide hands-on experience in community service and nation-building activities.

 To develop leadership qualities, teamwork, and moral values.

Major Activities:

 Organizing literacy campaigns, health awareness drives, and environmental conservation projects.

 Conducting regular social service activities such as cleanliness drives, tree plantations, and blood donation camps.

 Hosting special camps focusing on rural development, disaster management, and social issues.

 Promoting national integration and youth empowerment through workshops, seminars, and rallies.

"Not Me, But You" — emphasizing selfless service and a sense of responsibility towards society.
