The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) is constituted in accordance with institutional policy and regulatory norms to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment, especially for addressing complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and grievances of serious concern, particularly involving women.
The Committee is committed to ensuring justice, fairness, and a transparent process in addressing complaints and strives to uphold the dignity and rights of all stakeholders.

Objectives of the Internal Complaint Committee
To develop an institutional mechanism for the prevention and redress of complaints related to harassment, discrimination, and other forms of misconduct.
To ensure prompt and effective resolution of complaints in a confidential and unbiased manner.
To create awareness among students and staff regarding their rights, duties, and available redress mechanisms.
To promote a safe and respectful campus environment.
Functions of the Internal Complaint Committee
To publicize the Committee’s role, objectives, and procedures through the institutional website, student handbook, and orientation programs.
To provide a platform for students and staff to voice their concerns and register complaints in a secure and confidential manner.
To receive and acknowledge complaints and conduct a fair inquiry process.
To ensure timely redressal through a structured decision-making process.
To document and report grievances addressed and actions taken.
To integrate the awareness of complaint procedures through Value Education classes and Induction Programs.
Types of Complaints Handled
The Committee addresses grievances pertaining to the following areas:
Academic issues related to teaching, learning, and evaluation
Interpersonal issues between students and/or teachers
Harassment, including gender-based and verbal abuse
Issues related to facilities (library, IT, sports, cultural)
Behavioral misconduct by students or staff
Complaint Registration Mechanisms
Grievances can be submitted through the following modes:
Mode 1 – Mentor or Optional Teacher: Students may first address their concern to their mentor or optional subject teacher.
Mode 2 – Suggestion Box: Complaints can be dropped in the suggestion box placed at the main floor of the institution.
Mode 3 – Direct to Principal: Complaints of a serious or sensitive nature may be submitted directly to the Principal in writing.
Grievance Redress Procedure
Complaints requiring immediate intervention are forwarded to the ICC by the receiving authority.
Upon receipt of a signed complaint, the Committee conducts a preliminary inquiry and invites the parties involved for discussion.
After verification and discussion, a report is submitted to the Principal with recommended action.
Depending on the nature of the complaint, measures such as counseling, warning letters, memos, or other corrective actions are taken.
In serious cases, appropriate institutional or legal action may be initiated.
The aggrieved party is informed of the resolution and follow-up measures are introduced to avoid recurrence.
Note: All cases related to sexual harassment and ragging will be exclusively handled by the Internal Complaint Committee and Anti-Ragging Committee respectively, as per UGC guidelines and institutional policies.
This report ensures transparency, responsibility, and sensitivity in addressing all forms of student complaints, while reaffirming the institution’s commitment to a just and equitable academic environment.
